This buddy comedy teams up Jeff Goldblum and Cyndi Lauper as Manhattan-based psychics who meet at an NYU research center and are later hired by a shady entrepreneur (Peter Falk) to find his missing son in Ecuador. Once in South America, the duo learns that Falk has actually duped them into finding a lost gold treasure which his former minions failed to retrieve. Meanwhile, they're pursued by another gang seeking the treasure, one of whom is a psychic himself. Part action-adventure and part '80s Cheez Whiz, Lowell Ganz and Babaloo Mandel's script to Vibes is hokey. But in their respective parts, Goldblum's cynicism and Lauper's free-spirited quirkiness make them a charming pair to watch in spite of the story's shortcomings. --Bryan Reesman

I love this movie. I have since I first saw it on Cable TV years ago.Its a funny, silly movie that always makes me laugh. Cyndi Lauper does good comedy for her first outing. I am really glad that it finally is available on DVD.
Funniest movie ever (2009-06-14)
Cyndi Lauder is remarkable and a surprisingly good actress. She brings her own unique character to the movie. Peter Faulk is a great actor who can be funny without really trying. His delivery is perfect. It isn't what he says but how he says it that makes it really pay off. This movie has intrigue, twists in the plot, and good bad guys. Cyndi is by far the winning touch to the movie. A must see.

Great movie. Arrived weeks earlier than estimated but picture quality is not as good as DVDs I have purcased from other suppliers.

Comedic Adventure done in a "B-Movie" style. A deliberately campy in the right proportions, VIBES is Endearing and Fun. If you like VIBES try I,Madman.
Love this movie! (2009-05-26)
After years of waiting for Vibes to come out on DVD I couldn't be happier. The picture quality was phenomenal. Finally I can throw out my much warn and outdated VHS tape. Jeff Goldblum aand Cindy Lauper have great chemistry on screen and lots of humor through out the movie. If you have never seen this movie I highly recommend it.
