Cheap (2008-11-13)
Because of the low price I picked up a handful of these charger cables for my iPhone. It's a bit short in length, which I think defeats the idea of it being retractable. After just two weeks, my iPhone began turning itself on and off while charging. The cable had apparently developed a short somewhere and I replaced it. Perhaps the other ones I purchased will last a bit longer than two weeks. Give it a try if you must, but have a spare in case it fails.

good buy, worked fine, good price (2008-11-03)
The seller shipped fast, good service there. The cable worked fine with my Ipod touch 2g. The wire is thinner and flat and that may affect long term durability, but I don't view that as an issue given the price. The retracting mechanism works fine, just give it a fairly firm and quick snap and both ends will retract all the way. One final point, there are locking fingers on the edges of the jack that goes into the socket on the Touch. To release the jack you must use two small push buttons, one on each edge of the jack. I point this out because it is different than the white cable Apple supplied with the Touch, which just pulls out. All in all, a very handy cable for my travel case, where I have lots of retractables.

Perfect for the iphone 3G (2008-10-30)
For the new iphone my old chargers would not work I purchased this so I can have a spare charger for travel. Warning: this product is a bit 'chinsey' - retractable mechanism not very hardy - for 'light' use only! I recommend!

Small and Convenient (2008-10-24)
This little device sure beats carrying around and storing a long white cord. Besides, I'd rather have a black cord to go with my black iPhone 3G! One tug on the ends and it retracts with ease.

Handy (2008-09-05)
This is the perfect Item, small and compact for charging you're Iphone 3g or Ipod. No cords to trip over, just pull out the lenght you need and when done just retract the cord. Good for on the go.
