i bought these in a chestnut size 9 M. they run pretty big though because i usually wear a 9 or 9.5 and mine are definitely too large. i should have gotten an 8. so if you are like me and wear say, a 7 or 7.5, you will want to round down to a 6. it will totally change the experience of wearing this boot if you buy it too large so beware. but that aside, they are comfortable and have a very nice arch support and a good thick sole, but not so thick that it looks unsightly.

I live in the midwest where it's been frigid all winter. Since my Emus have arrived, I have not taken them off! They are so warm! I can't imagine why anyone would spend double for Uggs.
I have not yet worn them in snow, nor have I waterproofed them yet.
